We Need 50,000 More like her...

I wanted to dedicate this post to a very hard working and active community member! I’ve had the opportunity to speak with her once or twice, and have heard or read her “hold no punches” style of advocacy. These are the type of folks we NEED in Plainfield. People who will Talk about it and BE about it!

She is part of the Save Muhlenberg initiative and provides a steady stream of information regarding the fight to get the city, state and government to do the RIGHT THING by the residence of Plainfield and surrounding communities that have been served by Muhlenberg for decades!

I love her passion and commitment to this cause, and most of all I RESPECT her resolve to BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION! That’s what people who care do… THEY DO SOMETHING! It is NOT enough to say something or write something or complain about something – to change something YOU must DO SOMETHING!

So – Dottie Gutenkauf – this Blog post's is for you – for all you do! Thank You! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!

Please take a look at the article regarding the potential use of the Muhlenberg property as printed by the Courier News yesterday.

If you are interested in joining the Save Muhlenberg initiative, or would like more information about what they do and/or what they need; please contact Dottie at dottiegutenkauf@gmail.com.

  1. Renata, I am honored indeed--thank you! But the credit for keeping the Restore Muhlenberg Coalition alive must go to the citizens who show up at our monthly meetings and participate. Next meeting is Monday, August 30--6:30 pm at the duCret School of Art, 1030 Central Avenue (parking and entrance in the rear) and promises to be very interesting, given Solaris' apparent interest in selling the property. The availability of quality health care in Plainfield and the surrounding communities ought to be a priority for all of us!

Thanks--and thanks again for the honor!
