Having been away for three days last week at a CUBE Conference {Council of Urban Boards of Education} I’m finally getting an opportunity to come up for air. The past three weeks with home, work and board activities has certainly got a SISTAH tired.
Where do I begin? First a hearty THANK YOU to the 700+ participates who came out last Saturday to Rally for PEACE in Plainfield. It was a beautiful day and there were smiles for miles! Let those of us that have a heart and mind and the courage to change the condition of our city continue to move forward!
We will be doing a read out of the CUBE conference soon enough so no need to go into it here. Stay tuned – it was an awesome experience with some great insight shared by many senior Board Members! The opportunities are endless!!
There’s a Community/School Council Meeting in the works for those of you interested in joining a group of progressive, take charge and get it done folks. Look out for the schedule announcement in the next week or two.
